Hi all. I'm looking at buying an ATI Radeon 9500 Pro. This card requires a 300w power connector. Is this the same as the flat 4 hole connectors which plug into the hard drive and CD-Rom or is it another type? I don't seem to have many spare cables.
Thanks.

The power requirement is a recommended minimum output of your whole system PSU. It probably requires a 4 pin molex connection. Why don't you have many spare molex connectors? Do you have a lot of extra devices and casefans? What is the rating of your powersupply? And how much load are you already placing on it? All those are factors to consider.

I used to have a signature but it disappeared and I just couldn't be bothered writing another so please feel free to ingore this.

What does the molex connector look like? I currently have 2 spare grey cables for hard drives and a spare white power connector with 4 holes. Also got a very small black connector free. My main power supply is 300w and I'm not using any extra devices.

Okay, I'm confused now. Been told by the seller that the connector is the same as the one used for the floppy drive (smaller than the other type).

In that situation then you should consider upgrading your PSU. get one with twin 12V rails and it's bound to have two floppy drive power connectors and more than enough molex connectors to power everything you have and anything extra you ever instal such as extra harddrives or burner.
