Power turns off when booting

I have just finished intalled new PC. The power turn off when computer start booting for few minutes from flobby drive.
PC Spec:
CPU 3.06 533 Ram 512
MB SINXP1394
160G SATA
VGA ATI R9600P 128mb DDR AGP
PS 300w

The heatsind Fan is spinning and also to case fan. This problem happens when the case side panel is open and room aircondition is on.

Could be a PSU problem...

althought you dun have alot of hardware in that computer the ATI card should suck up much of the 300Watts thats availible.

What brand is your PSU? I've read on Tom's hardware that certain PSU manufacturers overrate their maximum wattage. Maybe thats it.

Maybe the heat sink was installed incorrectly. Did you use a good thermal compound and was it applied sparingly?
