Power Switch bypass

Comment:
The power switch on my PC is faulty, and until I get a new case I need a bypass. I understand the basics of how a ATX case works - but where is best to 'short out' to switch it on. Will brifly connecting the two small wires that connect to the button do it? If not am I looking for a connector on the motherboard?

Snip the wires and tap them together for a moment then separate, all you a dealing with is a switch that’s described as a "normally open momentary" they still carry such a thing at Radio Shack , have had a similar problem once and simply used the reset button on the case……HTH
Keep the old stuff running
