CPU/Ram: AMD 1.4 1GHZ RAM

Hey , all,i Need to buy a power supply, i am not sure which brand i should go for, but i need a nice and reliable power supply , money is not a problem
my system spec are
AMD XP 1600+ 1.4
One hard Drive
Gforce 4 MX 420
Dvd Rom, Cd burner

i am gonna go for a 400watts or more, ..
BTW. i found one power supply for 30 dollars , it was a 400watts,
all it said was "400 watts ATX powers supply"

Help me ou t

I would go for enermax. My friends and I have pretty much always gone with them and haven't had any problems. Antec is also a good brand if I'm not mistaken though

Antec is reliable brand. If all you have installed is what you show (plus a few fans, I assume), 400W is more than you would ever require.

If you're in the mood for a new case you can get case/power supply combos for almost the same price as just a power supply. Check out cases at pricewatch.com.

The vast majority of power supplies work fine. If you spend twice as much for one your risk of failure just went from like 2% to 1%, which doesn't seem like a good payoff to me. But if you're loaded with $ then why risk 2%. Power and Cooling makes the best supplies imo.

Antec is very good and stable. Has a good range of WATT and PRICE.
Easy to install also.

I just installed an Antec 350w ps, it was fairly easy.

I am happy with it.
