Power supply fan has stopped

CPU/Ram: 1900+ / 512mb

After a while of noticing the computer heating up and the noise has quieted down, I inspected the power supply and find out that the fan has died. It is a new power supply only about a month or two old, so I dont know why it would just stop working. I did though install a new motherboard, so either it couldnt take the new power or it is shorted. I dont know what else to think.

Return it as you're still on warranty!

BTW:
You can't short the psu fan by plugging it to the board (at least I don't see an easy way to do so). You may fit the big board connector the wrong way but then the board wouldn't even start because the green wire on that connector has to be connected to one of the black wires or the psu will not start working. This happens by plugging it correctly to the board!
