Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro 410 CDT laptop which power light was always green (showing ON), and it is now red. Since then I have had many weird problems. After re-installing the OS I think it may be a hardware issue. Does any one know what it means if the power light is red (or amber) instead of green in this laptop?

Thank you for any pointers,

Patricia.

I'm not familiar with the Toshiba Satellite Pro but at a guess I would say it indicates something wrong with your battery/power management.

What happens if you remove power cord and run just on battereis? Or remove the battery and just run on mains power? Any change?

Check Power Management in Control Panel. See if that indicates a possible problem.

Stuart

I would suspect the the battery is going bad.
