I have a 400w atx case w/ temp, power led etc. My old board was an ASUS w/2400xp. and everything worked with the atx case. All systems are Go on with my new cpu & motherboard, except the power lights (red for hard drive and Blue for power)I connected the following:
(JFP1)-power Switch (works)
-HDD LED (no show)
-Reset Switch (works)
-Power LED (no cable?)(JFP2)-Speaker (works)
-Power LED (no show?)These connectings worked fine in my other board. My Dad is the one who connected all the cables from the ATX case 2yrs ago. The lights on the front for power worked fine, but there is still a Power LED wire missing (2pin)? How did he do it, (he is not available for a while to ask) Again the power/reset work fine, jut no RED/BLUE lights.

Any led must be connected to it's dc voltage source such that the wires are on the right pins connected to the + and - polarities - connect the hdd led wires opposite to the way they are now and it should light up fine. If that doesn't work you may have pulled the led out of where it mounts on the front of the case and it's working but out of sight, or you may have broken the wire(s) on it.
As for the power led wires, you're going to have to find them - trace the wires from the front of the case - under the new mboard?

The Three prong (2 wire) power LED for the Speaker is there but the other Power LED(2 prong 2 wire) is not. The Wires have not been pulled out. I looked hard.Is there a way to rig this? Maybe use the Speaker Led( idon't have speakers)? Thanks Again. I did reverse all wires and bak again..same result.

Do you have the manual for your motherboard? Look for the section on front panel wiring.
FYI, there is no LED for the speaker, but *most* cases do have a tiny speaker that connects to the board. The case wiring plugs usually have a small triangle/arrow that indicates the + wire.

The 4 position wiring connector with a wire on each end is for the speaker.
The 3 position wiring connector with a wire on each end is for the power led.
On some oddball cases there is a 2 position wiring connector for the power led, but that is rare. There are always three pins for the 3 position power led wiring connector on the mboard.
On some oddball cases there is a 2 position wiring connector for the power led, but that is rare.
