It also paused a problem with the sound card it caused the sound card to unistall itself. Also Lately whenever i try and looking at windows media player appications on the net the pc completly Freezes. I have to do a manual reboot. Another such time is when i am looking video in either winamp or the windows media player. I am not to sure if this anything to do with the fact i have a new slave hard drive. First try a ram test utility such as memcheck 96 or DocMemory (or both) to check to see if your ram is good. Then try unplugging the slave hard drive. If the random rebooting and shutting down stops then your power supply is the cause and then it needs to be replaced with a higher wattage model.

BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death

Do you see one of these? If not you can disable automatic reboot in startup/recovery settings in controlpanel. That way you will be able to see an error message. Alternately you can look in Event Viewer which is located in ControlPanel>Admin Tools
