Specs: Windows Vista
I have a asus p5q mobo and a coolermaster psu at 600w. The board has a 8-pin 12v plug and the power unit has a 4 pin 12v plug. The board has four of the holes covered. The question is, can i uses these together meaning board and psu.

It isn't absolutely necessary to have a PSU with an 8-pin plug. The 4 holes are covered up to show you which 4 to use if your PSU only has a 4-pin ATX12V plug. Just plug it in & down't worry about it.

Hey Thanks, The motherboard manual is what scared me.I guess with four pins, you cut the juice in half to the cpu. Thanks again.
