Specs: Windows XP

works fine with power button jumper open and using the mobo pwr switch.

Without my having to download the manual and all that--what is the purpose of the 'power button jumper'?

If the system fires up just using the regular power switch connection on the motherboard with that jumper open then why not leave it that way?

didnt know what to call it really. the 2 pin power connector that would connect to your case. the mobo also has a manual pwr on/off switch which cant be used unless the case is open.

also, i figured out the problem after removing the front panel of the case it appears power button switch gets stuck. ugh.

ordered new switch + cable.

It might not be the switch itself but its plastic cover. If so, sometimes a little vaseline will work.
