Comment:

I’ve noticed quite a few people try to show off their systems by posting their specs in their signature (you know who you are!). I know that there are more details you want to post. But with that pesky 200-character limit it’s kind of hard, especially if you use HTML. So I thought why not create a whole thread for it!

So, go on, post every single little detail you want. You know you want too!

Here are my systems specs:

Shuttle AN35N-Ultra
AMD XP 3000+ 400Mhz FSB
512MB Mushkin DDR400
Evga GeForce FX 5500 256MB DDR
Samsung 997DF 19” CRT Monitor
Logitech Wirless mouse and keyboard
AHANIX Harmony Series case
Two ATA100 40GB 7200 RPM Hard Drives (A Seagate and a WD) in Raid 0
One WD ATA33 30GB 5400 RPM Hard Drive
Lite-On 52327S
Chaintech 7.1 sound card (Via Envy 24 Chip)
Koutech ATA133 Raid Card
Thermaltake 420W Silent PurePower

Let the bragging begin!

G,

This stuff isn't worth the cost of shipping. You should be able to find good old pentium machines complete and ready to run for 50 bucks or less on the local market.

I want to upgrade my RAM to 512MB PC3200 to unleash some real speed and then I plan on getting a 17" TFT. I don't play games much but when I do I find it completely sufficient. I do have a Creative SoundBlaster 5.1 Live! card but I haven't fitted it yet. I think a lot of the speed from my system lies in the configuration of Windows XP. I can boot up in around 10-12 seconds from cold boot and about 8-10 seconds on a warm boot.

Here I'll show ya... it's not a super computer as some above, but its something and i like it

Pentium 4 2.4GHz
128MB Ram (Pretty suck for an Windows XP machine, I'll upgrade real soon)
Nvidia Geforce4 MX 4000 AGP8X (that what the box says(of course, it's not a huge videocard, just 64MB ram, but I can use it pretty well in the 3ds max, so I like it)
Not sure of my soundcard (Intel 8280 1BA/BAM AC'97)
AOC 7E-BLK 18'' monitor
not sure of my speakers (I'd love a 5.1 system)
Maxtor 2FO40L0 (pretty lame i must say)
Floopy drive of course
JMLS-DVD-ROM LTD-166S (love DVD movies)
CyberDrv CW88D CD-R/RW 48x
Genius Keybord and Mouse (black, good ones, not wireless though :(...)
HSP56 MR Modem (56k, i'm not using it)
Motorola SURFboard SB5100 USB Cable Modem
i think thats all

so, it's not a huge system, but works fine, I'll upgrade my RAM to 256 or 512 so I hope it'll run real smooth, I'm not a huge PC gamer(I got my PS2, moded btw (games down here are very expensive, some $100 a piece), so why bother), so that'll do it...
