Not sure where to post this so here it goes. I finally got my pc to read the right size of my hdd. And Formated and installed Win XP Pro everything was fine until all of a sudden windows reports a unknowen error then the desktop dissappeared, then froze. So I hit the restart button. No it boots though bios, then to where it starts to read the drives in order and there is the little flashing cursor. and thats it. Windows wont load it just sits there if i put a disk in or a cd in it works but it wont load windows anymore. Its a fresh install I just finished installing like 20 min ago. PLZ help im going nuts this is really starting to make me go crazy.

This may sound obvious but you have a hardware issue. You are going to have to do some basic troubleshooting to find out what it is. Start with the easy stuff, remove the sound card, modem, NIC etc. Swap out or replace the video card if you can. Then move on to RAM (use one module or swap it out for a new one) and drives (run the Mfg software on it to look for issues). If all that checks out you are left with motherboard or power supply. Thanks It started working again for somereason. I think it was the motherboard. I removed some jumpers the other day and dont remember exactly where they went.
