Specs: Windows vista
I have 1 desktop and 1 laptop hooked up to a network. The laptop is a wireless connection and I can access the internet without a problem. The desktop is hooked up via ethernet connection. The desktop connection to the internet is very slow and sometimes times out before connecting. I have verizon fios. The computer has been wiped clean and widows reinstalled. There are no viruses. Verizon thought it was the ethernet cable. I replaced it and it was better for a day. I do not know what else to do. Please help me.

Need some reports from your computer to get an idea of where the problem may be. Can you do the following at a command prompt and paste the results?

and if the results are not too big..

P.S. It may just be your Network Card (NIC) has gone bad.
