I bought a dell dimension 8250 about 6 months ago and the dvd player worked fine. I havn't watched a dvd on it for about 2 months and now when I try to watch a dvd movie the dvd player says "please insert dvd" It is a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616T, I tried dells website and updated the only firmware I saw for the Samsung and it still does the same thing. Every thing looks good in device manager, also noticed that it wont read music or data cds anymore. Thanks for your advice.
