Please i need help to clear my mind what i should buy first a 17´ monitor or a gf4 TI4200 please someone answer . i have a 14´ monitor and a gforce2

depends for what?
----------------------
if you are a gamer you need both, but first a good grafic card.. (to play unreal2 and such games)
-----
if its more for working you should get the monitor first.. (better for eyes)

A monitor would cost more than the video card.
A monitor would only improve the size of the screen, resolution, refresh rate, color saturation, etc. The preformace gain on the other hand is slim to none in graphic speed.
The gf4 ti4200 is cheaper than the monitor, but will give the preformance your looking for. I.E. faster games, video, and
This is a strange question i must add, and i do not know why i am replying to it. Anyway, get the monitor first...it will motivate u to get the video card afterwards.
I don't understand why this is a question in need of an answer. Can anyone else oblidge to his question??

I haven't used a 14" monitor in 8 years. I used a GF2MX400 a few months ago... but this is really a question only you can answer.

hey, i am from argentina anda maybe the prices are different but here a flatsamsumg cost 213u$ and that videocard cost 250 U$

If you are worried about compatibility: the monitor will work with either graphics card and vice-versa, so it is up to you which yuo get first.

I'll add a little bit....
If you play games...don't get a flat true flat screen monitor get a CRT flat screen... the refresh rate isn't good enought for games on the true flat screen, your games will blur.....
...but if your working in office type area then get one because it will help you save space so you can optimize your work area and be more productive...that is after you quit googling over the pretty picture that a true flat screen has.....
