Hi guys, I have wrote this same article a while back, getting lots of answers, but I still really cant figure it out. I have an s-video cable that plugs into the back of my video card, but I dont know what to do next. Will this cable take care of everything??

I would plug the black one into the back of the tv-out on my video card, then the white and yellow and red into the video in and audio in on the front of my TV. My tv is a Pretty recent sanyo 27 inch, it is not an HDTV though.
Thanks for any help.

Well, if you dont have s-video on your TV, only the red, yellow and white... then it should be fine... then set your tv to avi or some channel than supports that tv-out, Before you try, put the resolution all the way back to something like 640x320, and then find out the max your TV screen can support...

Wonder why the industry don't just make new big screen TV's with built in PC's and end the howto: delima.
Hmmmmm ,LOL

Hey guys, I got it, I used the cables that came with my vid card to make it work. I plugged in the s-video into the back of my video card, it split into blue, green, and red, I plugged a yellow composite cable into the blue, and then into the video in on my tv. The resolution is blurry on my desktop, but looks great in games or videos. Just a little but of trial and error. Thanks for the help guys!

I have had this same problem for quite some time too until I saw the light. There are solutions like you saw from Comper and Sabertooth, but to be honest they are all just substitutes and cheap solutions of the real thing. There is nothing better then buying yourself a monitor equipped with a DVI-D input. Then you can just hook up your computer to it as easy as 1-2-3. All the other ways of doing it always have cons. Like for example text it blury as hell, desktop because of resolution looks like crap and refresh rate is your bare minumum. The only problem is getting the money to do this. A big 40" screen with DVI-D input would cost around $3,000, but you can always just get yourself a 24" for about $500. The price is costly, but the solution is the best & perfect. Anything else just doesn't compare. Hahahaha....would you rather have sex with a woman or a blowup doll? I think you get the picture.
