The sound should come from the speakers. Have you checked to see if anything is muted in the sound properties? Double click on the sound Icon in the right hand lower part of your screen. Make sure there isn't anything muted. Then open the properties by using the option button at the top of that screen. Make sure Microphone has a check mark next to it.

Thanks....I tried these option but it didn't work :-(
I thought MediaPlayer 10 could help me .... Let me explain again (May be I was not clear first time) I will give audio input (say from TV) to MIC port and want to listen this audio from the speakers of this laptop. Thank you.

You will have to hook up the TV sound to the Sound Input on the Laptop if it has one. Not the Mic.

Thats the challange ..... I have only MIC and Headphone Jack. I can give input to MIC port only.
I wanted to do this without investments ;-)) But now....seems like I need to purchase extra hardware.
Summary: Does the material on a cd once played, stay on the hard drive or any other file on the computer? Even if I delete from cookies or media play history... ...
Summary: tried it when i was playing mp3 on winamp. it also muted the mp3. so i didnt get any sound from any source at all. 1 more thing i noticed, before, i can use the windows sound recorder program to recor...
Summary: Rimfire, Good one. Cracked me up. In case it wasn't all tongue in cheek... Range from mic to sound card gizmo, NOT mic to mouth. Don't need hi-fi; voice only covers about 2 to 6KC. TIA M2 ...
