I am starting to build my new computer and was wondering if someone can help with a minor problem ? I have a Aspire Superalien Case which has a LCD heat sensor readout on the front of the case, but the instructions don't tell me where is the best place to put the sensor wires for the CPU and the hard drive. Any ideas as to the best locations for both would be helpful. Thanks.

Put the CPU sensor on the heatsink and the disk sensor on the hard disk case.

Its not the actual temprature that is important, the sensors are not accurate enough for that. It is any sudden change in temprature that is important. Its all relative.

I have the Cooler Master Aerocase II with remote sensors. For the cpu I shut down the system and placed the sensor close to the bottom of the heatsink in one of the fins. The hard drive sensor I placed in a small gap between the power plug and the frame of the drive. Both take desent readings but I had to compare them to the readings from Everest and the bios to determine the difference between the real and the sensors.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...
