Hi,

I have a Pioneer DVD-/+RW and it has split in to a "generic DVD-ROM SCSI CdRom Device" and a normal "Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-106D" (from device manager) i only have the one drive for cds/dvds and was wondering how this could happen. This is not the only computer i have seen this happen on.

Any thoughts?
Adam

Do you have emulation software installed? For example Alcohol 120% or Deamon tools?

Like GXI man says, with deamon tools active you create a virtual drive. To disable it, Right mouseclick on the deamon icon => Virtual CD/DVD-rom => set number of devices => disable.
