Here is the problem. A while back I put in a 160GB WD HDD but could not install SP1 or 2 because everytime I did my primary IDE controller would get locked in PIO mode. I tried EVERYTHING to get it out but nothing worked. I thought it was the HDD till a few days ago. That drive crashed so I bought a new 200GB seagate and figured I would try to put SP1 on it but the same thing happened so I had to uninstall it. Now I know it's not the HDD and must be something else. My mobo is an ASUS A7A266 with the latest bios. Any suggestions??
