Comment: well if you already dont know my floppy drive doesnt work. i opened it up and there are a lot of pins missing from the bottom row. is it supposed to be like that or is it messed up. same thing with the mobo there is one pin missing on the mobo. if you would like a picture i can probly get send it to u through AIM:mayur1130 just im me and i will send it to u.

Reply: (edit)Should only be one pin missing on the floppy I believe. The one pin missing is for keyed ribbon cables to ensure correct installation of the cable. When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

Reply: (edit)Yeah the motherboard is fine, but there shouldn't be that many pins missing from the bottom. Sometimes you can get a tiny screwdriver and push them back in from the other side of the connector. That’s if you have a Sony drive though, I don’t know if you can do that with other brands. Symbios

Reply: (edit)i found out that pin number 30 is missing on the motherboard and lots of pins are misiing from the floppy drive. pin 30 is the read pin so is there any way to fix this or change the port.

Reply: (edit)there should be one pin missing on the motherboard. Just get a new floppy, $6-$11 max.
