I'm looking to buy a photo printer, to print photos 4x6 and may be letter size. What would be a great photo printer to do that. I am debating between Epson and HP. Any input is appreciated.

IMHO. Go with the Epsons. Which one is really based on how much your willing to spend. It will be your best bet to hit cnet reviews and check for comparisons and reviews of epson printers vs. price to get a better idea of what you'll be paying for.

Hi Kostya.
I have a Canon S900 - $269.00 (free shipping) at Buy.com -
It prints fantastic photos on Canon glossy photo paper.
It is also very fast; a 4 x 6 photo in less than 30 seconds.
It uses 6 individual ink tanks so when one color runs out, you only have to replace that color.
Take care,
Linda

I do a tremendous amount of photo quality printing.
I have been impressed by the HP Inkjet Series Printers. I have been using a 970Cse for about two years but all of the 900 series Inkjets print at the same resolution.
I scan my slides with a photo scanner (2400 dpi) and print them up at about 300 dpi. I’ve matted and framed many 8x10s and have impressed everyone who sees them with the quality.
EVERYONE has been surprised to find that they were printed on a desk printer.
