Comment: Hello, I have a computer with a pentium 4 willamette socket 478 processor. I want to upgrade the motherboard, since it's a compaq motherboard and it sucks. Where can i find out which motherboards are compatible with my processor? suggestions on which motherboad i should go for are also welcome. Thank you in advance

Reply: (edit)Before upgrading, I would recommend selling off your Pentium 4 CPU and motherboard, and purchase an AMD Athlon XP or Athlon 64 CPU and compatible motherboard. The Athlon series processors cost less and perform better than equivilent Pentium 4 CPUs. I would say personally, AMD is by far the best choice for CPUs.
