Pentium 4 1.8ghz versus Amd2400+

I was wondering out of these two proccessors which is the better one and why?
Pentium 4 1.8ghz versus Amd2400+. I thank you in advance.

are you kidding me......the 2400+ will run circles around 1. 8 p4 and the 2400+ is as good as 2.4ghz p4 if not better

The 2.4ghz is equalent of 2400+.but u can oc 2.4ghz to 3.2ghz on stock cooler

The AMD would be a better choice over the P4 hands down.

The AMD 2400+ is actually 2.0ghz, not 2.4 (still faster than the P4 1.8). As stated, you can also overclock. Watch the multiplier cap on the mobo.

don't fall into the trap of clock speeds as a lot of people do when it comes to intel vs amd, don't forget amds have a higher work rate per cycle
