PenDrive- The disk is protected

Specs: XP, 512 DDR2
I copying something to pendrive.
Then suddenly hang and i close it and replug pendrive.
Then the pendrive cannot because become removeable drive. Even cant see the pendrive capacity data.
Then i choose format but it say the disk is protected.
But i didn't press anything to protect it also.

What should i do?

Simple answer is to buy a new one if you have also tested it in another system. If works in other system then your issue is your system not usb flash drive.

Second choice is to use linux to fix it if possible. Linux or live linux cd offer more access to such devices.

Some pen (flash) drives have a mechanical slide switch to lock the drive. See if you do.
