Hello! I am building a computer for a friend. He wants it to have a PCMCIA card reader to read data cards from his in tractor farm computers. I bought a PCMCIA card reader to IDE on ebay thinking it should be a breeze to install, however, it has a full forty pins for the IDE connection and nowhere to put a power supply. My motherboard supports IDE, but has the pin missing (which I understand is probably OK). How does the device get power? is more needed here than just the cable to connect the device to the motherboard?
