Hi...
I own a intel 915 motherboard that has a pci-e interface, probably its version 1...I am planning to buy ATI 3850 in two days but the problem is, isn't that card pci-e-2.0 or something? Will that even work along with my pc? Please help!

Need to know what kind of motherboard you have and also if it is a hp or a dell, or self built to make a determination.

The R3850 will work provided your power supply is up to the task. But you also need more RAM if your ultimate goal is decent gaming.

PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-e 1.0.

P4 3ghz [64bit-Em64t 2mb l2 cache]
Intel mobo 915Gav
1gb + 512mb DDR RAM
80bg + 20bg SATA hard disk
400 watt PSU

Mine is a self build. So i guess the ATI 3850 will work in this PCI 1 slot huh guys?
