Hi, I have a problem. I am using a PCI to USB card for my digital camera interface. But more often the OPTi 82C861 PCI to USB Open Host Controller driver does not show in the device manager and I can not download any camera image. Then I uninstall the default driver- open host controller driver (with yellow exclamation mark)and let the windows detect the P & P card on rebooting and gets the mentioned driver (OPTi 82C861 )installed automatically and the USB port starts working again. Can any one help me why this happens?

If this was happening yto me the first thing i would try is to change the PCI slot that the card was in. sometimes they just start to go bad. I had a NIC that did the same thing. May not work, but sure worth a try.
