With Windows 98 , a good but older system you may get the error 'PCI system management bus' error(code 28) in the system properties sheet and wonder where to find the driver asked by Windows. The Intel site has an .inf file for this older Windows 98 system used with the Intel i810 or similar chipsets. The .inf file will configure the hardware ,after installation and reboot, and all the hardware will be detected again and installed witout the error. If you had installed modem, sound and video you do not need to remove anything before. The file is called infinst_enu.exe and can be downloaded from:
http://aiedownload.intel.com/df-support/4241/a08/infinst_enu.exe
Good luck.
