No, it won't work. You need to get a PCIe 2.0 card or earlier.

"I heard it will"

OK, then why did you bother to ask?

PCIe 2.0 cards are generally backwards compatible with PCIe 1.x slots, PCIe 2.1 or higher are not. All you had to do was google it.

Two things are going to bottleneck GTX 660Ti
-c2d Q6600
-PCIe 1.0a bandwidth

"the increase in power from a slot breaks backward compatibility"
PCIe 1.0a, 1.1 & 2.0 = 75W
PCIe 2.1 & 3.0 = 150W
This is why the video card won't work with your p35 board.

But he heard it will...

Sorry guyhellos but you get an answer that doesn't suit you then argue with it?

Tell ya what. Buy the 660TI, shove it in, then let us know how well it worked for you.

NVIDIA cards tend to be very forgiving when it comes to older systems. Wouldn't surprise me if it worked.

Edit:
Here's a Zotac 660TI that'll work with a PCIe 1.1 motherboard:

For PCIe 2.1 & 3.0 v-cards to work in PCIe 1.1 slot a BIOS update is required.
