Throw that $25 paperweight in the trash and buy a real motherboard. PC Chips are about the biggest pieces of junk you could possibly purchase.

Sorry you had to learn the hard way but that is one item you do not want to skimp on in my opinion.

Well, Jim_______!_!_________!_______!_!_ there is no need to get drastic, there.

Yes, PC Chips are pretty low. There are others. Why would you tell someone to throw something away, just because you don't like them?

I can't help you much, other than say READ THE MANUAL.

Also, I'm not familiar with the power switch or the case you are using, but some cases still have the older style "click on-click off" power switch, while newer ATX boards "want" a momentary switch. You might check and MAKE SURE that you have the correct two pins, and if you don't have a multimeter to check the switch, carefully try and turn it on by shorting the pins manually for a moment.

Make sure the power supply switch (if present) is set for the correct line voltage. (120/240v"

Make sure that IF there is a powr switch on the power supply, that it is turned on.

Is this an old case, and did you have a working system in it? If not, could be a bad power supply, too.

Do you have RAM installed on the motherboard?

You might also pull it out of the case, and carefully lay everything out on the table, and try and power it up that way. Some motherboards have issues with screw mounting holes and other problems that case strange electrical shorts to the case floor.

let's just put it this way...
neptune will learn what it means by going cheap and by getting a low low end motherboard.

i must say, that mobo is hard to find the specs on...so what does that tell you

i found the 935cg and if that is it, it's very limited...instant obsolence...pay the extra for a name brand loaded with features, you'll have a better computing experience and it will be very upgradeable and expandable

I've had a PCChips mobo for two years and its fine. Depends what you want to do with the PC. Mine just sits there for storage.

I had exactly the same problem when I built mine, turned out you need to set a jumper to get it to boot.....I should have read the manual!
