PC won't turn on after storage

June 2, 2009 at 15:59:34
Specs: Windows XP
When I turn the computer on, the light comes on and that's it. It doesn't boot at all, not even enough to get the monitor and keyboard to work. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What do you mean "after storage?" Do you mean it's been unused for a period of time? How long? Which light goes on? Do the fans spin? Do you hear anything at all? I assume if it was in storage, then at some point it was moved more than once. Did you check all the cables before attempting to power it on?

Nothing except the fan turns on. No beeps, no hard drive turns on.. nothing. And what's weird is JUST the fans are going..

And storage as in, up in a closet for a little over a year. The inside is spotless. No dust or debris. I don't understand why it doesn't work.
