PC Wont Load Anything

Specs: Windows XP SP3

I really need some help, this morning i woke up and turned on my pc and it came on and booted into XP and then to the desktop (although it kept BSODing about driver IQRL not less or equal).
But now when i turn it on it boots into xp but freezes on the starting windows bit, i also tried installing linux to see if i could just get rid of the problem that way but that freezes when booting into the install for it.

i would like to think of myself as a person with knowledge in techy stuff but im stumped.

its not the ram either because ive run a memtest.

CPU: Pentium 4 3.6Ghz
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon 4300/4500
Storage: Seagate 1TB HDD
PSU: 600w Silentstorm

Well your computer is kinda old. It could be a hard ware issue. Try running a scan disk on your hard drive. It may have some bad sectors.

"driver IQRL not less or equal"

That generally means you have a driver or memory problem. Since you say the RAM checked out, it is most likely the graphics driver. Try tapping the F8 key at bootup, then select "last known good configuration"

SOLVED: possibly a loose connection for my sata cable or my heatsink fixed it by pressing the cable in firmer and gently applying pressure to the heatsink
