Hello - is it possible does anyone know to attach an older style Macintosh cinema dispay 24" monitor to a Lenovo ThinkCentre M92p PC. The PC has a display port as well as a vga output. I bought an adapter to link to the monitor via the display port to the DVI connector on the Mac monitor but no dice. Is this because the adapter is passive and needs to be active, perhaps? Or are MAC monitors more awkward?

I'd like to use the MAC as the only monitor ideally - not too worried about dual dispay.

All help gratefully received!

Well, I've tried 2 different displayport to DVI adapters - one passive and one active - still no joy. Have been through many threads and cannot find an answer - maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

Well - this is rather embarrassing.

Nothing wrong with the PC, or the MAC, or the display or the adapter. I was simply using the wrong power supply. We have 2 ACDs in the house and I'd got them muddled. The smaller screen worked OK with the more powerful supply but not vice-versa.

All now fine - just got to decide which I prefer - MAC or PC!
