"i was forced to reset my motherboard"
And what forced you to do that?
"i cant find the right settings in my bios"
It would help to post the exact make/model of your Dell, but the BIOS of Dell machines are generally very limited. It should be fairly easy to figure out which setting needs to be changed.
"If my answers frighten you then you should cease asking scary questions" - Jules Winnfield (Samuel L. Jackson) in Pulp Fiction

its ok i got it sorted i had a virus and thats what made me restart the motherboard i just went in to safe mode and changed the settings for my monitor that way thank u for your interest jam!!
