My PC was working fine until...
Upon startup, the BIOS screen comes up saying that the CPU setting are basicly wrong. 2 of the pre-set frequencies work and the other 2 don't. Everything else is on auto. I've checked the battery, monitor and switched the RAM to a different slot.
When the PC shuts off, all the fans and such shut off, but the power light on the motherboard and the power light on the front of the PC stay on. While their on, I can hold in the power button and then the front power light goes off. If I unplug the power supply for a second and plug it back in, the PC will start but go back into the BIOS with the same CPU problem.
Each time I choose a different CPU frequency the PC with start loading XP and quit, or most of the time shut off seconds after closing the BIOS.
So what is the problem. It seems to be the CPU as that is what the BIOS was saying for the reason for shutting off. How can I fix this though, or test it?

Your CPU should be clocked at 1.83GHz (11 x 166MHz). Your RAM should also run at 166MHz (DDR333).
Have you checked the CPU temp in the BIOS?
FLATURIN - Hand-to-mouth goodness. It's good!
