PC shuts down!

Computer shuts down by itself! I have this computer: AMD 500 Mhz, CD ROM, Floppy drives, 2 chips of RAM totaling 96 MB, 8 GB Hard drive. Sometimes it does not want start. There is no post, no beep, monitor screen black. I placed this machine in two separate places, same result. This does not happen so often!

Well with a PC that old i would not be surprised if the problem stemmed from faulty hardware. Not really any way to pin the problem on any one part unless you test them all in different computers.

It might need a cleaning. Open up the case and blow out all the dust. Check the power supply to see if the fan is clogged with dust bunnies.
"Sometimes it does not want start."
That 'might' be a different problem. Try reseating the motherboard power connector.
