Looks very much like you CPU is overheating and the BIOS is shutting down to save damage.

Check the heatsink and fan are installed properly. It is possible to install the heatsink the wrong way round. If it is it wont work.

Provide more information. What does the screen say? What does the screen look like? Does it get through the POST (power on self test) Does it beep at you? How many beeps? Are they long beeps? Are they short beeps? Have you used this hardrive before? Did the hard drive work for you before? Have you formatted the hard drive and installed the OS clean, so that you could add the drivers for the new motherboard? Let me know the answers to these questions and people will be able to more accuratly help you!

One other possibilty to consider is that you have the CPU fan plugged into the wrong motherboard header. If you have more than one connection for fans, one will be deignated for the CPU. If there is nothing plugged into the and CPU fan speed monitoring is anabled in the BIOS, the BIOS will think the CPU fan has stopped and shut down.

I remember this happened to me once. Check your bios if you can. There is a setting in some Award bios that can acutally have your computer repeatedly turn off. check it out.
