PC restarts itself

Comment:
Whenever I click on Outlook to start it, my computer restarts itself.
Double-click.... Then I hear a click in the hard drive, the thing spins down, and the system restarts.
Not much else to it. And it just started happening today. This is bad.

======================================================================================== Start a thourough check of the hard drive using scan disk. It could be that a file has become corrupted, or worse, that your hard drive is on its way out and that particular sector is just the beginning of the warning signs. Either way, before you do anything else, I would make sure that I had a full backup first while you still have the chance to do so.

I had a similar problem, if I open something it would either work or the HDD would click once and spin down and at post it would click and spin back up, it turned out that it was bad ram,
go to google and search for memtest-86 it will check your memory for problems, since I changed the faulty memory I have not even had 1 crash
