"My built in sound device of my motherboard elite p4vmm2 v.8.1 was damaged..."

How did you determine that?

The reason I ask that is, 99% of the time when someone tells us they can't get the onboard sound to work.....
- it's disabled in the mboard's bios Setup settings
- or - they haven't installed any drivers for it and Windows does not have built in drivers for it.
- or - they installed the drivers for the wrong chip or chipset - the ones that are in the software downloads for your mboard model are the correct ones - ones you get randomly from the web are likely to be for the wrong chip or chipset.
- or - they did not install the drivers properly - e.g. DO NOT install drivers for sound while booting the computer, BEFORE the proper sound software installation has been installed.

- or - it's working but they're trying to use non-amplified speakers - in most cases you hear nothing in that case.

Regarding your computer rebooting when you install the PCI sound card.....

- Do NOT install any PCI card except a PCI video card in the last PCI slot of the PCI slots that is nearest the center of the mboard - that PCI slot is forced to share it's IRQ with the video, and that often causes problems with cards other than PCI video cards.
- if you have more than one PCI slot to choose from other than that one, try the card in another PCI slot.
- if you have only one PCI slot, other than that PCI slot, that you can install it in, try swapping which slots cards are installed in with another PCI card, if you have one installed.

Your problem may have nothing to do with the PCI sound card.

- This problem can cause all sorts of strange symptoms...

"...it would eventually restarts itself ..."

That is NOT something normal for installing a sound card to cause, but this problem CAN cause that....

Open up your case and examine the mboard to see if you have bad capacitors, and/or other findable signs of mboard damage .

This was the original bad capacitor problem - has some example pictures.
History of why the exploding capacitors and which mboard makers were affected:

What to look for, mboard symptoms, example pictures:
Home page that site
- what the problem is caused by
- he says there are STILL bad capacitors on more recent mboards.

Pictures of blown capacitors, other components - power supplies, Athlon cpu's, etc.:

- your power supply may be in the process of failing.

"...it would eventually restarts itself ..."

This problem CAN cause that, and re-starting for no apparent reason....

Failing power supplies are common and can cause your symptoms.
Check your PS.
They often partially work, fans and hard drives may spin, leds may come on, yet you may get no video and the mboard will not boot all the way.
See response 4 in this:

If it is failing, you can usually replace it with any decent standard sized standard ATX PS with the same capacity or greater.

Standard (PS/2) power supply size - 86mm high, 150mm wide, 140mm deep, or 3 3/8" h x 5 7/8" w x 5 1/2" d , or very close to that, though the depth can be more or less for some PSs.

Don't buy an el-cheapo PS.
