Solved PC restarts after 20 minutes

Specs: Windows XP Pro SP3, Dual Core Intel Pentium D920, 2800Mhz (14x200)/1gb
My Lenovo ThinkCentre M55E has suddenly decided to restart itself about 20 minutes after I have turned it off - not stand by or hibernate. It was behaving normally until 48 hours ago It is not connected to a LAN and does not have a modem. Any suggestions for a fix would be very welcome.

have you checked BIOS for power settings?
there may be a setting for what to do after power interruption. If your mains power is fluctuating a bit the motherboard & powersupply may be interpreting that as an "Interruption" and the bios may be set to automatically restart on resumption of power.
I had one like that and had to reset it to "resume prior state" which means if on when power goes out it will reboot. If off it will remain off.

Since how long are you facing this issue? Have you installed any hardware or any software to you computer on your own? Are you getting any error message ? I would say to go to F8 and select "Disable automatic restart on system failure" after this it may show you an error which you are not able to see.

When's the last time you air-blasted the dust out of the cooling vents?
