Specs: XP Pro, 1256
I just installed a Harddrive from my old PC to my new Asus motherboard..I wanted to save some money and reuse my old hardrive. So I wiped off everything and deleted the drivers. I try to boot and it gets to the Windows XP load screen then restarts the pc? I dont know whats up. If I cant figure it out Im gonna buy a new harddrive but I thought I would try and save some money....any help I can get would be appreciated. Should I just go ahead and buy a new Hardrive?

You wiped the drive so there's absolutely nothing on it? Or did you leave XP on it and just delete some stuff?

You can't move a drive with XP on it to another motherboard and have it work. You might be able to get by with a repair install.

If this occurring while doing a new installation then the problem is elsewhere.
