Hi.
I have intel celeron 533MHZ FSB 2.66GHZ socket 478.
I know it is compatible with my board, but when I put it up and turn my computer on the fans go round but nothing is display on the screen.
The motherboard has onboard graphics, I have tried two different compatible rams in it but still no luck.
I also tried the clear cmos jumper but that made no difference.
Also, I can not turn my PC back off using the power switch after I turn it on.

Their is no beeps at all, I got one of my seperate speakers to plug into the board just incase the one already on it wasn't working, still no beep.
I tried it with ram in and out and only one stick of ram in at a time, 1 256MB ddr (pc 3200 think) and 1 128 PC 2700.

Most likely your CPU has bid you farewell. It could also be a fault with the motherboard. Although the fans spin it could still be your power supply.

Hard drives do not come into play until after the beep except in the case where a short in the HDD pulls down the power supply. With an ATX power supply disconnecting the HDDs is usually a good move. Just a qualifier, on older AT PSUs, operation without a HDD or suitable load could destroy the PSU.

have you tried a seperate video card as you might have a problem with video connector but won't give a beep also try another monitor for same reason
