Hey everyone, Got a problem where all of a sudden my computer will make a loud buzzing noise. (Almost sounding like an out of wack electric razor). PC is usually quiet and runs fine. This noise happens every 5 minutes or so and lasts maybe 10 seconds. Any ideas on what the problem might be ?

Pop it open and see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from. Do not type anything in this space.
It could be failing bearings in one of the fans,or it might be that your tower is up against something that is conducting vibration. Possible loose screw floating around?
Dudes, its a knackered HDD methinks! I have an old 3Gb disk in my PC which makes an aweful racket every now and then. and it does sound something like an "out of wack electric razor" lol. ;) :P
Now you need to know wich one :S Either way I would backup important files just in case.
