I have been running BT dial-up for ages with no problems. I have recently changed over to ASDL with Pipex using the Thomson Speedtouch 330 modem. Every time I log onto the net the machine locks up completely, the only solution to reset the machine. The BT dial-up still works with no problems (obviously only one connection at a time).
I have the latest modem driver and Explorer. The modem works fine on another machine.
My next test will be to try my machine at my brothers house who has the same connection. I expect that this will prove that there is a conflict in my machine but what do I do to fix it? I take it this is my responsibility and I will get zero assistance from Pipex or Thomson...

Thanks for your help.

Paul.

IS your operating system XP? Cause sometimes XP might not accept all the hardwares cause they are not XP compatible.
