In BIOS set up, disable automatic restart and while you are in BIOS, let it run for a while to confirm the problem is not hardware related. If it stays fine in BIOS, try restarting and see if you can do a 'Use Last Good Configuration' or look at Repair options for 'Start Up Repair' or even 'System Restore' (I don't remember if XP offers these options at that point) if it does not work. If these do not work, you may need to boot to install disk or recovery disk for these repair options. If it does not keep running in BIOS, you have a hardware problem, possibly a memory, hard drive, or power supply problem.
Post back results for more advice from there.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

I do not know how PC started behaving normal when I kept it idle for more than 24 hrs. It was very cloudy whether when PC was shutting down, now clouds are much reduced, I suspect this might have been cause of problem. However thanks for replies.
