PC freeze repeatedly when loadin xp

Specs: Windows XP Home, 400 MHZ DDR
Hello everyone,

I have just reformatted my pc and intalled
windows xp home (w SP2).

When my computer restared it freezed in the screen where it was loading windows xp.

I restarted my pc and i was shown the advanced setup where I had to choose between

-- safe mode
-- last known good configuration
-- start windows normally etc etc etc.

I've chosen "start windows normally" and
everything was OK.

But, when I shuted down my pc and switched
it on again, I've had the same problem
(with exactly tha same solution!)

Could it be possible that I have a power
supply problem, or is it because of the dust
(or sth else) ?

Thank you in advance.

Start by telling why you had to reformat & reinstall XP. Reformatting obviously won't fix a hardware problem.

I had to reinstall windows because of a virus i wasn't able to remove (it didn't let me have access to the internet).

I figured that maybe by formating the current problem too could be fixed (but it didn't...)
