"i put the wires as they are supposed to". Obviously not. You must have connected something wrong and things got damaged. I agree that you need help but from what you have written above we don't have enough information to supply that help.

Post the brand and model of your computer and what exactly was disconnected and then reconnected.

Also, look inside and describe what appears to be discolored or damaged.

as Othehill put it, something has not been plugged in correctly and something has burnt out

before you continue I would reccomend getting an antistatic kit if you dont already have one, it will protect the computer from futher damage and could save your life

Check all the cables and see if any are black or burnt out
DONT open anything up if you dont know what it is, a computer (especially the PSU, dont open under ANY circumstances) will contain high voltages even whent the computer is not plugged in

If none of the above made sense then go and see a computer specialist and ask them to have a look at it for you

Describe what you did when you 'cleaned the wires' and which wires did you clean?

By any chance did you remove the ram module(s) and then re-install it/them?

If you installed any ram module backwards in it's slot , your symptoms are exactly what results from that. The ram module that was backwards and the ram slot it's in are damaged instantly when you attempt to boot the computer, and both of them will never work again.
If that's what you did, you will see that there are some damaged or missing (they were vaporized) contacts on the ram module that was backwards, there are some damaged or missing contacts in the ram slot it was in, and there are probably also black carbon deposits in the ram slot and melted plastic there.
If you see that, if you clean off the carbon and remove any melted plastic that bridges contacts, the mboard MIGHT still boot when you have installed undamaged ram in an undamaged ram slot.
