First thing I would try is to boot without RAM.....

...Normally, system without RAM would give long continuous beeps...

BUT, if either the PSU or CPU ( Might be the M/B ), are bad, the system won`t give any beeps...

Then I suggest to start with the PSU first, test it, if bad buy a new one...

If the PSU was bad, if might have taken the motherboard and / or CPU down with it....since you have a new PSU, and still no joy, then it`s either CPU or the Motherboard...

Hi probfixer,

After removing all ram sticks (512x2 MB) I turned on the PC. But there was no beep sound.

I'll get a new PSU to continue the test later.

Hi probfixer,

Change a new PSU which is a spare unit completely new. Problem remains.

Is there any way checking the mobo and CPU? I have no spare model of similar/equivalent model nor spare CPU

Try the CPU in another compatible motherboard and see if it works...

Hi probfixer,

I don't have a compatible mobo. This box is rather old about 5~6 years at least.

I have been planning to build a new PC.
I already have a list of components prepared for sometimes as follow;

AMD PHENOM II X4 955
ASUS M4A78T-E AM3 DDR3 AMD 790GX ATX AMD Motherboard (video onboard)
OCZ OCZ3P1333LV4GK DDR3 1333 4G Kit (2Gx2) CL7 2 sets (8G RAM)
-end-

The price of CPU and mobo continue to drop but that of the RAM goes up.

I think it is time to put this old PC to retire. The new box will be used for server testing.
