PC doesn' t boot!

OS: Win 2k
CPU/Ram: Celeron 1.1/256

I have this problem:
Machine running Windows 2k Professional, 1.1 Ghz Celeron, all on board.
Turn on…gets power..it turns off by itself.\
No post, no beeps, no video, can’t access the BIOS!
Put new processor…nothing.
New case….nothing.

If anybody has any idea to solve this issue please help!

Did the computer work before?
have you tried to overclock it?
Cause the CPU has a multiplier lock, if you try to set the multiplier to another value the cpu will not work.

also, if you use thermal grease, too much on the cpu will cause it to short out and shut down.

Hi

Really sounds like a power good signal problem.. Generally another power supply is required. Try removing all ide devices and see if it will make it into post.

Not always is the PSU at fault, but faulty onboard circuits that keep on reseting the PSU despite that the power has met the required "power good" status.
